American Doctoral Dissertations (ADD)

American Doctoral Dissertations (ADD) provided full bibliographic citations for each title, grouped first by subject and then by institution, as well as statistical summaries of titles by subject area. It was not only compiled from dissertations published by ProQuest, but also from information provided by universities.

Published for the Association of Research Libraries, ADD included citations to virtually all U.S. dissertations for the academic year, regardless of publisher.

Formerly published annually in hardcover in 8½ x 11″ format, ADD was one of the printed reference tools related to the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database.

Better research, better learning, better insights.
