When it comes to squeezing a workout into your crazy-busy schedule, it doesn’t get much more convenient than online streaming. We’ve put together a collection of our favorite fitness resources on the web, so whether you’re traveling for the holidays or just can’t make it to your favorite class, you can still get good and sweaty.

Ballet Beautiful

Created by professional ballerina and celebrity trainer Mary Helen Bowers (she worked with Natalie Portman for her role in Black Swan), the Ballet Beautiful website offers live, interactive online classes and pre-recorded streaming videos. All ballet-inspired, both the videos and class options include targeted toning exercises, stretches, and high- and low-impact cardio workouts designed to build sleek, sexy muscles and beautiful ballerina posture.

The website offers monthly subscriptions to the continually expanding workout video library, or you can “attend” a live, interactive class with Bowers herself.

Cost: $35/class or $40/month


A combo of barre, Pilates, and yoga, Barre3’s monthly streaming membership includes unlimited access to hundreds of their body-shaping workouts (ranging in length from 10 to 60 minutes), seasonal recipes and meal ideas, along with custom designed workout schedules and programs (such as “7-Day Body Blast” and “28 to Great”) created by barre3 founder Sadie Lincoln.

Cost: $15/month


A high-intensity fusion of yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics, BUTI classes don’t require any equipment but a yoga mat (making them perfect for a travel!). Choose from two subscription options (“Tone” or “Sculpt”) to access video archives of up to 50 hours of BUTI workouts. The Sculpt plan offers an additional 50 hours of HIIT-based fusion routines.

“Our online community, lovingly dubbed the BUTI Tribe, typically see results within two weeks and remark that BUTI has transformed their bodies faster than any other workout that they’ve tried,” says creator Bizzie Gold.

Cost: $40/month for Tone, $60/month for Sculpt

Crunch Live

Crunch gym brings its popular line of group fitness classes to the web with its new streaming site Crunch Live . The first national gym chain to offer their group fitness program online, all classes are taught by real Crunch instructors and many feature actual Crunch members in the background.

The 30-minute classes are broken down into five categories: Chill Out (yoga, Pilates, stretch), Chisel It (sculpting, toning), Dance Rhythms (barre, aerobics, hip hop), Sexy Series (sweat in stilettos and chair dancing), and Throwback (featuring popular Crunch classes that are no longer available in clubs). The site currently offers 16 classes but will introduce 10 more in January 2014.

EMG Live Fitness
EMG Live Fitness

EMG Live Fitness is the only website that broadcasts live from gyms and studios across the nation. But that doesn’t mean you’re tied to a rigid schedule–the full library of classes is always available on-demand for one-time users or with a monthly subscription. From kickboxing to cycling to barre, you’ll find hundreds of classes now and even more will be added in the New Year.

Cost: $5/class, $40/month


If you can’t make it to the gym or studio to attend your favorite group fitness class, FitnessGlo offers the next best thing: online streaming of high-quality classes that are accessible whenever, wherever you want. What makes this site different? Members can set weekly fitness goals and create a schedule to make them happen (complete with email reminders sent from the site).

Cost: $12/month


The super popular barre and Pilates-inspired Physique57 program now offers their signature non-impact cardio and strength classes via streaming video. Subscribe monthly for unlimited access to their 12-workout video library or pay a 48-hour rental fee per class (Physique57 recently teamed up with Erin Andrews to create their “Get Fit featuring Erin Andrews” video, available for 48-hour rental for $10).

Cost: $57/month, or pay-per-video (rental fees range from $5 to 10 for 48-hour access)


Lionsgate’s BeFit YouTube Channel offers a wide variety of quality workouts from fitness experts like Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, and Mary Helen Bowers. You also have access to BeFit’s complete systems (i.e. “30-Day Butt Lift” and “BeFit in 90”), which outline a custom workout programs to help viewers reach their specific fitness goals.

To help take the guesswork out of your fitness routine, the channel organizes specific training styles into simple lists (like cardio fat-burning, yoga, dance workouts, Pilates, and more). And if you want to sweat on the go, check out BeFit’s “BeFit Go!” playlist, comprised of workouts that have been specifically created for smaller mobile screens.

Addicted to Pilates? Then you’ll definitely want to check out Pilatesology.com ! Founded by Pilates expert Alisa Wyatt, the site offers more than 350 classes featuring celeb trainers like Mari Winsor (who trains Miley Cyrus), Alycea Ungaro (longtime trainer to Christy Turlington), and Chris Robinson (who has worked with Oprah).

Choose from a wide array of mat and apparatus classes (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, or Guillotine) for all levels, including Pilates professionals. In addition to the authentic Pilates methodology featured in every workout, users can also access instructional classes that cover everything from correcting poor posture to fixing sciatica.

SBF Streaming

Created by barre and Pilates pro Suzanne Bowen, SBF Streaming offers more than 130 innovative and classic barre, mat, interval card, and stretching routines. Workouts require minimal space and equipment (mat and light hand weights), making them perfect for at-home or hotel rooms. Monthly membership also includes access to specific workout plans and a food guide created by a registered dietitian.

Cost: $10/month, $80/year


Founded by fitness expert and personal trainer BJ Gaddour, StreamFIT offers 5 to 90-minute personal-training style workouts (like the “Get Jacked Dumbbell Workout,” “Bodyweight Boot Camp,” and “Metabolic Mayhem”) for all fitness levels and preferences. Choose from a variety of equipment options (many use no equipment at all) and use the search tool to find prenatal, bodyweight, kettlebell, sandbag , or any other training style to fit your needs.
