The Stock Market crashed marking the beggining of the Great Depression Passing Time Because unemployment was high, and finding jobs was hard, there wasn’t much to do throughout the day. Women of the Depression Women stayed at home, tended to their children, did the best they could as far as cooking, and tried ot stay busy and make the most out of the essentials in the households. Child’s Play Children were fotunate they grew up use to the poor living accomidations, therefore they were able to live simply. Children made the most out of what they had…plus a lot of imagination. Hunger Marches Citizes performed "Hunger Marches" in order to raise propaganda and awareness of the growing issue of unemployment and starvation throughout major cities War Brings Hope Years later, the rising of a second world war is good news for the economy; increasing production, industrialism, and more jobs for all. This drew out the end of the Great Depression after many years. Soup Kitchens The same idea as breadlines, urban soup kitchens fed the hungry, poor citizens. THANK YOU.
